Affordable, well-connected, and practical — a neighborhood for people with a realistic outlook.
Druzhba is a large residential neighborhood in eastern Sofia, built mainly between 1970 and 1990. Divided into Druzhba 1 and Druzhba 2, it is home to tens of thousands of residents and is a typical example of mass housing construction. Despite its seemingly gray reputation, the neighborhood has a number of qualities that make it appealing to a specific audience.
Druzhba has wide green spaces between the apartment blocks — spacious parks and walkways that are impossible to find in the more central, densely built neighborhoods. It is well developed in terms of social infrastructure, with plenty of schools, kindergartens, clinics, and shops. Its proximity to Gorublyane adds an extra green dimension.
Druzhba's transport links have improved significantly with the extension of metro line M1 — Druzhba station connects the neighborhood directly to the center and other parts of the city. Tsarigradsko Shose runs close by, providing easy access by car. Proximity to Sofia Airport is a plus, especially for people who travel for work.
Druzhba offers good value for money. Apartments here can be found at significantly lower prices than in the center or southern neighborhoods, while still enjoying good transport access and developed infrastructure.
